Most of you are probably thinking: what is third wave coffee? It’s about high-quality coffee, enjoying the experience, and not just viewing coffee as a commodity.
A little more than two years ago none of these Huntsville coffee shops existed. We’re thrilled to have top-notch coffee experiences like these available in our city.
Here’s a look at 3 third wave coffee shops you must check out in Huntsville.
Alchemy
Alchemy was one of the first third wave shops to show up in Huntsville and really paved the way for the coffee scene in the city.
Alchemy now has two locations: the original inside historic Lowe Mill and their newest at The Camp. Serving up delicious brews using highly-rated Counter Culture coffee, Alchemy is all about attention to the details.
Lowe Mill: 2211 Seminole Dr SW #2073, Huntsville, AL 35805
The Camp: 5909 University Drive, Huntsville, AL 35806
Honest Coffee Roasters
Honest Coffee has been an important part of downtown Huntsville’s culture since opening on Clinton Avenue. They roast their own beans at their first shop in Franklin, TN.
We admire their less is more mentality and think it’s great they’re showing what it means to be a coffee purist.
114 Clinton Ave E #106, Huntsville, AL 35801
Offbeat Coffee Studio
Offbeat Coffee Studio might be new to the game, but don’t let that fool you. These guys (and gal!) know their coffee. The beans they use are from Onyx Coffee Lab out of Arkansas, which can consistently be found on almost every “Best Coffee Roaster” list. Offbeat’s pop-up shop is located inside the Straight to Ale Taproom (Ale’s Kitchen) until their permanent spot inside Campus 805 is ready in the fall.
Pop-up shop: 2610 Clinton Avenue NW, Huntsville, AL 35805
