Are truly great leaders born? The traits needed somehow naturally embedded in their very being?
Or can individuals learn the skills necessary to dominate the board room, stay calm in a crisis, continually innovate? Make the choices that are in the best interest for the company today and 20 years down the road?
Live from Huntsville
UAHuntsville believes in the 2nd theory. And they have some pretty heavy hitters on their side with the 12th annual Chick‐fil‐A Leadercast on May 4th. This one‐day leader development event is broadcast live from Atlanta, Georgia, to hundreds of sites throughout the nation, including UAHuntsville.
Last year, over 85,000 leaders across the global attended and this year’s May 4th broadcast promises to be even bigger. Click here to reserve your seat.
“From the playground to the board room, whenever two or more people are gathered together, we must all face the challenges of leadership. When I participated in the 2011 event, I took home ideas I was able to use immediately with my team and my managers.”
-Michelle Reavis, Alumni Association President
All about Choice
The 2012 Leadercast will focus on choice and its impact in both our everyday lives and the business world.
Sheena Iyengar, a speaker at the 2012 Leadercast, and author of the The Art of Choosing, speaks best about the importance and impact of choice on our lives:
The expansion of choice has become an explosion of choice, and while there is something beautiful and immensely satisfying about having all of this variety at our fingertips, we also find ourselves beset by it.
But can we really complain? This abundance, which many of us take for granted, is not available to everyone. When we question it, we might be accused of looking a gift horse in the mouth, or somebody might offer to play us the world’s saddest song on the world’s smallest violin.
Moreover, whatever our reservations about choice, we have continued to demand more of it, and these demands have not gone unheeded.
