More bars and restaurants are hopping on the bandwagon and hosting their own trivia nights, luring innocent bystanders off the street with the promise of drink specials and bragging rights.
Below is a list of my favorite trivia places with hot competition and cold brews – essential for every smarty pants in the Tennessee Valley.
7 Trivia Nights for Hot Competition and Cold Brews
Blue Pants Brewery
When: Monday Nights at 7 – 9 pm
Prizes: Provided by local sponsors (currently the sponsor is Donatos Pizza)
Food/Drink: Blue Pants has mixed drinks and brews provided in their taproom.
Yellowhammer Brewing
When: Monday Nights at 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm in the Lost Highway Bierhall
Prizes: Yellowhammer gift cards and merch
Food/Drink: Brews available in their taproom and food by Fire and Stone Pizza
Topgolf Huntsville
When: Thursday Nights from 7-9pm in the Main Bar
Prizes: 1st place gets a $50 dollars off game play coupon, 2nd gets a $25 gift card, and 3rd gets a $20 gift card
Food/Drink: Food and alcohol will be available in the Main Bar
Lone Goose Saloon
When: Tuesday Nights 7 – 9 pm Live Team Trivia
Prizes: A pot of sweet house cash
Food/Drink: Full bar stocked with brews and house drinks Prizes: A pot of sweet house cash
Drake’s
When: Sunday and Monday Nights 7 – 9 pm
Prizes: Free appetizers and $25 gift certificates to Drake’s
Food/Drink: Half off beer towers during trivia nights with a full restaurant menu and drinks
Wish You Were Beer Campus No. 805
When: Geeks Who Drink Trivia are Wednesday Nights from 7 – 9 pm.
Prizes: 1st place gets $25 in store credit, and 2nd place gets $15 store credit, with bonus questions scattered throughout the rounds for a free beer for the first person to respond – brewery sponsors can provide additional prizes
Food/Drink: A variety of brews provided
Rocket Republic Brewing Company
When: Wednesday Nights from 6 – 7:30 pm
Prizes: 1st place gets a $20 gift card, and 2nd place gets a $10 gift card, both for Rocket Republic
Food/Drink: Bar snacks and brews available in tap room, with Mach One IPA being $3 a pint
