Like most lovers of food, we are always searching for new places to eat or rediscovering old favorites.
We thought we would share the restaurants we are loving so far this month, and we would love to hear some of your current favorites!

Viet Cuisine
The second the temperature dropped earlier this month our first thought was PHO!
Is there any meal more satisfying than a large bowl of noodle soup on a cool day?
Throw in some bean sprouts, cilantro, basil, a lime wedge, and some Sriracha if you like a little kick, and enjoy.
You can always count on Viet Cuisine for excellent food and friendly service.
Urban Cookhouse
Urban Cookhouse has something for everyone. We’ve been there several times since their grand opening in June, and I think it’s safe to say the grilled chicken special is our favorite.
We love that you get a little bit of everything: juicy chicken, rice pilaf, a generous sized garden salad with housemade dressing (which is to DIE for!), and an orange roll for a sweet treat.
We’ve also been enjoying the veggie quesadilla which is filled with unexpected veggies like: zucchini, eggplant, carrots, and broccoli.
Edith Ann’s
Regardless of what the current trends are in the food world, one thing that remains constant is our love for the classic American diner.
The expectation at a diner is a comfortable, casual atmosphere and generous portions of all time favorites at a good value.
Edith Ann’s delivers on all points. We love their veggie omelet but would be happy with any of the plates they serve up.
Taqueria El Palomino #2
We’re on a mission to try all the Mexican restaurants in Huntsville, and I’d say we’ve done a pretty good job so far. We enjoy seeking out local taco shops that offer authentic tacos (you know, the ones with onions and cilantro!).
So when we find a great place that has them, we MUST let you know.
We added rice and beans to make it a meal and drizzled on the green and red sauce they have at the table. Delish!
1892 East
1892 East will always be a favorite of ours so it’s hard to not include them on our list for this month!
It’s a solid all-around option for any meal, but for now, let’s focus on their brunch. Several versions of eggs Benedict are available and are all served with a complimentary mimosa.
For those with a large appetite desiring a heavier meal, look no further than the hearty fried chicken with eggs, potatoes, and a biscuit. Another popular southern specialty they do very well is shrimp and grits. We will let the picture speak for itself.
