Here are five things you need to know about this unforgettable evening on the mountain!
#1
What’s a party without music?
Microwave Dave and the Nukes return to the stage, but this year special guest drummer Darrell Tibbs joins them.
“In most cases, simply plugging a second drummer into a long-running act would create awkwardness, but Nukes drummer James Irvin and veteran drummer/percussionist Darrell Tibbs lock in as if they’d been together for decades.” Microwave Dave says of the pairing.
“The bar is raised when these two are drawing memories of the Allman Brothers Band and the Grateful Dead. Two fast, intuitive and creative people working together to inspire each other and the band makes for extra juice. Each time we’ve done it at private events it has been great fun, and great music.”
#2
Come ready to eat – Food Trucks Manic Organic and Fire & Spice will be on site serving up their delicious dining options.
#3
You’ll never go thirsty – thanks to event sponsors Liquor Express and Prichard’s Distillery there will be a wide selection of beverages on hand, including Prichard’s Fine Rum and Sweet Lucy, along with a variety of local craft beers, wines and non-alcoholic options.
#4
S’MORES!
Burritt is bringing back the bluffside fire pits for patrons to toast marshmallows to their preferred perfection. S’mores fixin’s and kettle corn are included in the admission price.
#5
It’s a fundraiser!
All the money raised from this amazing evening will be put directly into the education department at Burritt on the Mountain.
Tickets are $25 and you can get them at Burrittonthemountain.com or at the door the night of the event. Get ready to boogie with the best view in town!
