1. Earth Day at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

There will be lots of “green” exhibits and plenty of activities for kids, including face painting, moon bounces, and more!

3. Spring Farm Days at the County Fair & Burritt on the Mountain

Visit our barnyard animals, experience the historic skills and chores of our ancestors, and learn about life on the farm. Included in admission.
4. Superheroes 5K, 1 Mile and Fun Run
April 3
The Superheroes event features a 5K, 1-Mile fun run and one of only two certified 1-Mile races in North Alabama! A free “Family Block Party” will be held throughout the day and is open to the community with music, food, games and inflatables.
5. Downtown Huntsville National Beer Day “Trail Tour”
April 7
April 7 is National Beer Day so “Tour the Trail” and visit Yellowhammer Brewing, Salty Nut Brewery, Below the Radar Brewing Company, Old Town Beer Exchange, Church Street Wine Shoppe, Liquor Express and Mad Malts Brewing to celebrate.
6. Folk Fusion: Where Folk Art Meets Fashion @ Huntsville Museum of Art
April 7
Thirteen established and emerging designers were asked to create a fashion piece of original couture inspired by one or more works from the American Folk Art Museum’s collection in New York City. Unveiling event, tickets $85.
7. Huntsville Community Chorus Presents the Brahms Requiem
April 8
Don’t miss this choral masterpiece sung by the Symphonic Chorus and soloists. Husband-and-wife pianists Eric and Nicky Wilson will be playing the 4-hand version prepared by Brahms himself. Tickets are $15.
8. Battle of the Buffalo @ Big Spring Park
April 9
Battle of the Buffalo is an annual chicken wing festival for local restaurants and amateur cooks to compete with their tastiest wings in an effort to be crowned best of the Tennessee Valley. Tickst $15.
9. Huntsville Ballet Company’s Peter Pan @ VBC Concert Hall
April 9 – 10
Take flight with Wendy, Michael and John as they follow Peter into the magical world of Neverland. Tickets start at $21.75.
10. Yuri’s (Day and) Night Huntsville @ Lincoln Mill
April 9
Family-friendly fun by day, DJ dancing costume party by night. Don’t miss Yuri’s Night in Huntsville. $10 donation requested.
11. GERMANY: Brahms Festivals presented by the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra @ VBC Concert Hall

You’ll recognize the haunting third movement of Symphony No. 3, and guest artist Nikki Chooi brings the Violin Concerto to life. Tickets start at $25.
12. Spring Plant Sale @ Huntsville Botanical Garden

Rocket City Gamefest is a boardgaming convention held at the Holiday Inn Research Park. Admission is $20 – $30.

Earth Day at Hays Nature Preserve is free and fun for the whole family with exhibits, animals, demonstrations, face painting, butterfly release, and more.
15. The Little Mermaid presented by Fantasy Playhouse @ VBC Playhouse

Travel with the Little Mermaid to the Top of the Sea where she becomes friends with a funny but reluctant prince. Tickets $15.

16. Heads N Tails Crawfish Boil @ VBC South Hall

Admission is free and the food is available for purchase. Food choices include crawfish, various types of seafood, funnel cakes and more. There will be a Beer Garden as well as music by Buckwheat Zydeco.

The Southeast’s premier arts weekend in Big Spring Park. Panoply features live performances, the Art Marketplace, STEAM interactives for all ages, and much more! Tickets $10/one day, $18 weekend pass.
18. The Illusionists presented by Broadway Theatre League @ VBC Concert Hall

This mind-blowing spectacular showcases the jaw-dropping talents of the most incredible Illusionists on earth. Tickets start at $38.

Don’t forget the Quilts Then and Now quilt show at the New Hope Public Library (the show is spread out among several locations) on April 9 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. AND the Walk-a-Thon at the Showers Center on April 9 at 8 a.m. Both events are fundraisers for the library.
