Oh, Madison, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways!

1. Outdoors
Looking for a good hike? Take a drive up Rainbow Mountain. The road drops you at the start of the Rainbow Mountain Preserve hiking trail. Walk along the cliffs and see great views of Madison from here!
Prefer something a little more leisurely? Park at Palmer Park, cross the street and enjoy a peaceful walk down the Bradford Creek Greenway. Along the way you will see horses, birds and even a few fish when the streams are flowing.
2. Shopping
Rather get your steps in at the shops? Check out the Funky Monkey Vintage store for a piece of unique furniture or decor. Look for the colorful car along the side of the road, you can’t miss it!
Or take a stroll down historic main street and pop into an antique store or two. You never know what you will find.
3. Food
Got a sweet tooth? The fudge at Whistle Stop Sweet Shop is the cure. A quick warning though, this stuff is addicting!
Kick back and relax, at Grounded Coffee for an hour, or two, we won’t judge. The drinks are delish and the free WIFI is an added bonus.
4. Beer
Madison is full of ways to quench your thirst after a long day!
Check out one of the three breweries, Blue Pants, Old Black Bear (they serve food too!) and Rocket Republic. Each of them has a unique vibe and plenty of local craft brew options.
Want to try something new? Head to Wish You Were Beer. With 26 taps to choose from you can sample while you shop, then fill your growler to take home.
5. Events
Want to learn more about the city you just spent the day in? Try a Madison Historic District & Guided Walking Tour. These events are seasonal so be sure to plan ahead.
A Madison favorite every year is the Madison Street Festival. Come for the parade, and stay for the shopping, food and family fun all day long!
Madison folks, what did we leave out? Share your favorites with us!
