The glorious month of September is turning into festival season around here.

Oktoberfest
When: September 17 – 20
Where: Redstone Arsenal Activity Field
How Much: $12
What is it: In addition to German food & beer, enjoy carnival rides, entertainment, watch the weekend’s football games and more. This year’s Oktoberfest Craft Biergarten is $20 for unlimited tastings.
Alabama Women in Jazz Festival
When: September 19, 2 – 8 pm
Where: Big Spring Park
How Much: $11 – $32
What is it: A jazz concert featuring headliners Jazz in Pink, an all female jazz ensemble. Funds raised go toward scholarships for female musicians.
Monte Sano Art Festival
When: September 19, 9 am – 5 pm
Where: Monte Sano State Park
How Much: Free to attend, $5 to park
What is it: The regions finest artists in an outdoor festival held in Monte Sano State Park. In addition to shopping for art, enjoy food, music and a day on the mountain.
iFest – International Festival of North Alabama
When: September 26, 9:30 am – 5 pm
Where: UAH University Fitness Center
How Much: Free
What is it: Countries exhibits, international food, market, live music, children’s activities.
Mercury Rising Chili Festival
When: September 26, 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Huntsville Depot Roundhouse
How Much: $15 general admission, $10 brew pass
What is it: Chili teams are competing for the best chili of the festival, craft beer, entertainment, kid’s activities and more.
Big Spring Crush
When: September 26, 4- 9 pm
Where: Big Spring Park
How Much: $55, and there are only a few left
What is it: The 2nd annual event features over 250 wines to sample, live entertainment, food trucks and grape stomping.
