We’ve all had those days when you just don’t feel like eating the brown bag lunch from home and you didn’t have time to make lunch plans with friends.
Days like that call for a great spot to embark on a solo lunch.

These 6 places are a few of our favorites.
Solo Lunch Spots
1. Blue Plate
Pull up a seat at the lunch counter and enjoy your meal while chatting with the regulars and staff or enjoy the time to catch up on a good book.
Bonus, you won’t have to wait for a table!
2. Pinhook Street Food Park
Not sure what your taste buds are craving? Give yourself choices from the food trucks parked at Pinhook that day.
Enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine or in the comfort of the indoor canteen equipped with free WiFi.
3. Sam & Greg’s Pizzeria
Enjoy a delicious pizza and people watching on the patio downtown Huntsville or in Madison if that is closer to the office. Don’t forget dessert! Enjoy a scoop of their homemade gelato before you get back to work.
4. Cozy Cow
Short on time for lunch? Grab a sandwich and a smoothie to go and eat it while you take a quick stroll through Big Spring Park.
5. Happy Tummy
Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is hopping at lunch time. Grab a bite to eat from Happy Tummy and then go gallery exploring. Check out the featured exhibit and stop by your favorite artist studios to see their newest creations.
6. Old Black Bear
Our recommendation – take a seat at the bar and enjoy a Pimento burger with a side of the smoked artichokes hearts.
Then, if you’re not going back to the office after lunch, enjoy one of their seasonal brews with your meal.
