So, school starts back on Tuesday, August 4. THAT’S SO SOON!
We decided to make the ramp up to back to school fun with a challenge list. Complete this list before school starts back and we can guarantee smiles, family fun and happy kids.
(At least that’s the plan! You gotta be the ones to actually have the fun!)
#1. See a Summer Concert
There aren’t many left, but you can catch the final few! Get your picnic/dance/jam on! Also, most are FREE!
#2. Play in the Polywog Bog at Huntsville Botanical Gardens
#3. Jump at Shakalaka
Shakalaka fees range from $8 – $20 depending on age and jump time. TIP: Reserve in advance online, some times sell out.
#4. Go to the C.A.F.Y. Event
CAFY – Community Awareness for Youth. This event, Saturday, August 2, 2015 from 10 am – 3 pm, is an annual back to school tradition and is an awesome day filled with vendors, music, demonstrations, children’s activities, inflatables and lots of FREE fun.
#5. Donate School Supplies to Free 2 Teach
As you and your children shop for school supplies, pick up a few extra for Free 2 Teach. Free 2 Teach provides free supplies to teachers in Madison County’s three public school systems. Click here for their list of “core” items that are simple to add to your shopping list.
