What is Super Saturday in the Park?
Super Saturday is Healthy Huntsville’s kick-off to fitness events in the park that will last throughout the summer.
Super Saturday fitness classes include:
- 9 am – BODYCOMABAT, Iron Tibe Fitness & Piloxing
- 10 am – Body Boot Camp, CrossFit & Zumba
- 11 am – High Intensity Interval Training, Obstacle Ready Boot Camp & WERQ
Mayor’s Bike Ride
The 6th Annual Mayor’s Bike Ride is also held in conjunction with Super Saturday.
- 10 am head out with Mayor Battle himself and the Spring City Cyclcing Club for a fun 4-mile loop around Downtown.
You probably will want to have your bikes Downtown, regardless this year there is something new at Super Saturday……
Bike Fest
Bike Fest is a NEW part of Super Saturday. Church Street will be shut down and all Bike Fest activities will take place from 11 am – 3 pm on Church Street.
Enjoy:
- Bicycle Slow Race (can you ride the slowest without falling over)
- Trike Obstacle Course
- Bicycle Drag Race
- Bike Polo
- Bike Shops on hand to talk all things bike
- Music
- Food Trucks
Good Beats Good Eats
Also NEW to Super Saturday is the Good Beats Good Eats event- a music and food festival intended to promote awareness of, prevention of, and ways to live with Type II Diabetes.
Enjoy lifestyle and nutrition experts, and healthy cooking demonstrations.
Included is a High School Battle of the Bands from noon – 1:30 pm on May 16, in Big Spring Park East.
So to sum up Super Saturday: Grab your bikes and helmets, put on some sunscreen, bring an appetite and get ready for a fun day in Downtown Huntsville!
