Lucky us!
This will be the third year that Burritt on the Mountain is creating a totally unique and interactive “game” for us to enjoy the grounds in a way we never have before.
We had fun exploring the Whimsical Woods in 2013, and spent last summer hunting gold nuggets during Treasure Hunt at Gold Mountain.
This year… it’s all about a Time Travel Adventure!
Time Travel Adventure
Opening on Saturday, March 21, 2015, Time Travel Adventure invites children are to become apprentice time travelers.
They will journey back to the 1800s to begin a scavenger hunt through the decades.
Some of the exciting things to see and do are:
- Take a photo in 1800s clothing
- Play with toy and games of the time
- Practice medicine by rolling bandages and tying slings
- Find your way through the Underground Railroad maze
- Race boats and rafts down a kid-sized Alabama River
- Build a miniature cabin
- And more!
Learning Adventure
As usual, your and your children will learn along with all of the fun! Discover facts about Monte Sano Mountain, Huntsville, the houses found on Burritt’s grounds, and even the state.
Once all of the items for the scavenger hunt are found, get an “Official Time Traveler” badge!
