Halloween weekend is almost three weeks away, and you want to do something this year to really get into the spirit.
Scary movies are always a good idea (and usually on almost every channel right now) as well as taking a trip to the local haunted house.
But if you are a broke twentysomething like me, you might not have the time or the money to do both. What’s out there to get you the best bang for your buck?
How about Huntsville’s own interactive horror movie experience?
Become the heroes (or victims) of your own story as survivors of a zombie plague at The Historic Lowry House’s Nights of the Living Dead Re-enactment.
Groups of survivors will be put right in the middle of a scene from George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead, as hordes of the undead try to make their way into the “farmhouse” and break down the barriers that separate you from them!
This immersive haunted house experience is not for the faint of heart, but it IS perfect for horror fans or adrenaline junkies looking to test their survival skills in a safe environment.
Unfortunately, Daryl Dixon will not be waiting for you on his motorcycle if you survive, but Ghostbuster donuts will be waiting for you at the nearest Krispy Kreme.
I know where I am going if I make it through the night.
Will You Survive?
