Maybe it was the recent Huntsville Restaurant Week, or the new restaurants that just opened (and we know about thanks to The Dining Dragon), but we are ready to start cooking!
Just need to learn how!
This month there are several cooking classes to chose from, and the Taste of Home Cooking School, all of which can be used to hone our culinary skills.
Let’s start cooking!
1. Cooking with C.C.
- “Evening in Barcelona”
For this class, students will start with two traditional Spanish Tapas, Roasted Asparagus and Tostados d’Ajo. For the main event, students will make a Paella. The dessert is Crema Catalana.
When: Saturday September 13, 2014 at 6:00 pm

2. Southern Scrumptious
- An Italian Evening, Thursday, September 18, 2014
This class will start with an Antipasto Platter as you arrive, a Caprese Salad (Tomatoes, Basil and Fresh Mozarella), Pork Tenderloin bathed in Marsala Wine, Mushroom Risotto, Parma Style Asparagus, Italian Bread, and Strawberry Tiramisu.
- Wild Salmon Night, Thursday, September 25, 2014
This class features Panko Crusted Salmon, Mashed Garlic Potatoes with Onion Marmalade, Haricot Vert with Shallots (Small Green Beans), Chopped Salad, and Banana Pudding. The custard will be easily made in the microwave.

These events will be a fund-raisers for the No Kid Hungry organization.
