With summer comes the return of the Sidewalk Arts Stroll 2014 – the popular art marketplace happening May through August in Downtown Huntsville at Constitution Village.
The very first one of the season is this Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 4:30 – 8:00 pm.
New Attractions & Expansion
Sidewalk Arts Stroll has announced a new attraction this year, as well as a return to the Southside Square.
Welcome HulaHoops & Hopscotch presented by The Historic Huntsville Foundation and Harrison Brothers Hardware. This playground for kids will include hula hoops, hopscotch, jump rope and bean bag toss. There will be other free games along with giveaways and old-fashioned fun.
PLUS, this year the Art Stroll expands out to the Southside Square.
According to the Sidewalk Arts Stroll 2014 press release, it is expanding “from its home at Alabama Constitution Village and Gates Avenue to the Southside Square, creating more connectivity with Greene Street Market and the restaurants and shops on the Courthouse Square.”
Thursday Night Fun
This Thursday, shop over 60 vendors, including artists who specialize in oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, pottery, furniture, decorative accessories made from re-purposed items, handmade toys, clothing and jewelry.
Entertainment will include the Log Cabin Band, Dave Boling and his bagpipes and a strolling magician.
Plan for a lot more people Downtown, which means a little extra planning for parking. But, you are guaranteed to run into friends, find something that you simply must have, and enjoy a great evening out.
