We’ve waited a whole year to say this: The 6th Annual Rocket City Brewfest is coming up May 9 – 10, 2014 at the Historic Huntsville Depot.
First order of business is to get yourself a ticket. It can and has sold out in the past. Don’t delay.
Now that you have a ticket, let’s plan ahead….we’ve got a few tips to share.
First of all, there’s a reason that Rocket City Brewfest 2014 has issued this handy Survival Guide. Good sense and advance planning make for an even more enjoyable experience.
1. Designate a Driver
It’s #1 cause, you know, responsibility.
BONUS – if you bring a designated driver, they only pay $10 (plus fees) to attend.
2. Bring Cash
There may be an ATM available, but you’ll need cash for food and swag.
3. Water – Drink It
Drink water before and after to stay hydrated.
4. Make a Pretzel Necklace
It’s a thing now. No one will judge you and many will be envious!
Here’s a site that shows you how to make your own.
5. Bring a Chair or Blanket
If you want to sit, bring something to sit on.
6. Comfortable Shoes
Each session lasts 4 hours & chances are you’re there for the full 4 hours. Be comfortable!
7. Do Your Homework
Familiarize yourself with different types of beer. Read up on the Breweries who will be presenting.
8. Keep Up With Your Favorites
Have a beer list or app for keeping up with your favorites. Trust me, you’ll want to make notes.
9. Good Attitude
It’s a festival. Be friendly, patient, and don’t be afraid to ask those around you what’s their favorite beer.
