Adventure Awaits in Treasure Hunt at Gold Mountain

Burritt on the Mountain launched a wildly successful interactive experience last year called The Whimsical Woods.

With a fairy-tale adventure located throughout the park, it was amazing fun for the whole family.

Now Burritt on the Mountain is back with a brand new adventure.

It’s time to stake your claim!

Find Gold in Them Hills

Treasure Hunt at Gold Mountain opened this past weekend and will run through September 1, 2014.

Did you know there was an Alabama Gold Rush in 1830?

Children ages 3 to 11 can experience what it was like to “arrive” on the stagecoach, shop for provisions, build a log cabin and pan for gold in the sluice.

All along the way, see what life was like during that time. Prospectors can collect “gold nuggets” too.

Stake Your Claim on the Mountain

I highly recommend a visit to Burritt on the Mountain, as it’s one of the those special places that makes Huntsville so unique.

I recommend even more becoming a member. If you have children, there is so much for them to explore and experience. A family membership is $75/year.

But kids are not a must-have membership provision. Individual memberships are available ($30/year) and there are so many things that Burritt has to offer throughout the year.
