As some of you know, I am getting married this year. I am also not what you would call a traditional gal. It’s just never really been my style; I’m more interested in doing things my own way. Which is why I was really excited to hear about the Hi-Fi Wedding Fest on January 25, 2014 at Lowe Mill, perfect for brides and grooms looking to make their weddings a bit out of the box.
To get the scoop on this independent bridal fair I spoke with one of the event sponsors, Ashley Vaughn of White Rabbit Studios.
Shop Local for Your Wedding

Shopping local is important to me, no matter the occasion. Huntsville is my home, and I want to support it. It’s one reason I’m getting married here (even though I was born in Atlanta).
If you’re like me, this is a great place to find local wedding vendors all under one roof and check out what they have to offer.
Hi-Fi Weddings will showcase local photographers, videographers, DJs, food and beverage options, make up artists, stylists, bridal fashion, furniture rentals, designers, venues, planners, and jewelry, and more! Having them all together at the Hi-Fi Wedding Fest will save you LOTS of Googling and driving. And if you bring along your groom, you could even check some items off your to do list…
Bring Your Fellas!

Yes, you heard me correctly. I did suggest bringing a guy to what is typically a ladies-only event, but Ashley hopes some of the grooms will come out Saturday.
“This wedding fair is to attract both brides and grooms! With invigorating and interactive booths, this is a wedding fair where you’ll want to bring along the whole crew because everyone will have fun!” Ashley said.
Stressed? Overwhelmed?
If you’re like me, you heard all the wedding planning horror stories and laughed… and then suddenly it was your turn. And you realized there really IS a ridiculous amount to plan! And there is no way you can do it alone.
“We want to reach out and help couples realize that planning can be fun and less stressful when in the hands of professional artists. All of the vendors in attendance are skilled in their craft and are excited to help you create the wedding of your dreams!” Ashley told me.
