Downtown Huntsville is abuzz with new activity and growth. I recently chatted with Chad Emerson, CEO of Downtown Huntsville, Inc. to talk about their Annual Meeting and Awards to see what’s in it for all of us!
OVE: Who should attend the DHI Annual Meeting?
Chad: If you are interested in seeing Downtown Huntsville grow into a vibrant and dynamic place to live, work, and play, then this event is perfect for you.
OVE: What does the DHI membership get folks?
Chad: Two member only cocktail receptions that include exclusive briefings on upcoming downtown projects, events, and strategies.
OVE: What 2014 DHI projects are you most excited about?
Chad: The opening of Twickenham Square will be hugely important since it includes live, work, and play options integrated into a single development. The groundbreaking for The Avenue will be huge too, because it’s in a key gateway location and the developer did such a great job previously with the Belk Hudson Lofts.
OVE: Any event highlights you’d like folks to know about?
Chad: We’re excited to give awards for Project of the Year, Event of the Year, and Advocate of the Year. Plus, we’re going to “elevate” the conversation with the first ever “Downtown Blue Sky” idea..
