With the new year comes resolutions. And if your resolutions center around reaching out, connecting, and sharing your stories, then the Rocket City Bloggers have you covered. On Thursday, January 16th, The Rocket City Bloggers will host “Downtown with the RCB”, a networking event centered around bloggers, businesses and building a vibrant community of the two.
Who should attend
The event is targeted at:
- Businesses who would like to get the word out about their services and products–especially local and/or small businesses
The Rocket City Bloggers have bloggers of all stripes, so chances are good that you will find a blogger who is interested in writing about what you do.
- Established bloggers who want a group to bounce ideas off of
Because our bloggers come from lots of backgrounds and write about all kinds of topics, they are a great group to talk shop with. Want to know how to combat spam? How to use social media most effectively? What your stats actually mean? Hit us up.
- New bloggers looking for a support network
Maybe your resolution was to start a blog and now you are wondering what in the heck you are supposed to do. What platform should you be using? Where do you get a header? What does it mean to self host and do you need to? We were all there once and we’d love to answer your questions!
Make Connections
If that sounds up your alley, come check it out. Our last event was hopping for the entire two hours, full of making new connections, and this one promises to be even better! Appetizers are being provided by The Eaves and The Brew Stooges will be doing an exclusive tasting of their brews. If beer isn’t your thing, we will also have wine on hand. RSVP in advance and you will be entered to win one of a dozen raffle prizes donated by local businesses such as a ticket to Strategy 2014 a social media conference, a kindle, an all season pass to Comic Science Improv, a massage, and more!
