You may have heard that there’s an ice rink in downtown Huntsville. Since we don’t get a lot of snow down south, I figured that Huntsvillians could use some suggestions as to how to enjoy the winter wonder/aberration that is Skating in the Park 2013.
10 Ways to Enjoy Skating in the Park 2013

#1: Get Romantic 
Propose to your girlfriend. Seriously. Six people have already done it.
#2: Skate It Off
Gorge on pizza then skate it off. Get a season pass with 12 skates and 10% off Pane e Vino anytime.
#3: Party
Have a party. Groups of more than 10 people admitted for $8 with a $3 skate rental.
#4: Seek and Skate
Play hide and seek in the Tinsel Trail. Continue the chase on the ice.
#5: Warm Up with Art
Skate then head indoors and warm up indoors with 1/2 price admission to Huntsville Museum of Art’s Donato exhibit with skating wristband.
#6: 2 for $10
On 104.3 WZYP Night two people can skate for just $10.43. Grab a friend and head to the rink on Thursday, December 19th from 6 – 9 pm

Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: noon to 10 p.m.
- Friday: noon to 12 a.m.
- Saturday: 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
- Sunday: noon to 8 p.m
Location: Big Spring Park, behind the Huntsville Museum of Art
Cost: $10 per person to skate and $3 to rent skates
