About Huntsville Community Chorus
The Huntsville Community Chorus Association (HCCA) was established in 1946 and is Huntsville’s first performing arts organization. They are a non-profit, all-volunteer community organization, housing several ensembles, choruses and musical theatre groups.
As part of HCCA’s mission to educate and foster choral singing in the community, they have programs for children, scholarships for young adults, variety of ensembles for adults, and musical theatre opportunities each year.

Season Concert 1: Hot Latin Nights
- Date: Saturday October, 26th @ 7:30pm
- Location: New Lee High School
- Groups: HCC Symphonic Chorus & HCC Youth Chorale with Special Guests Mambo Gris Gris
About: Explore the rich and sultry music and dance of Latin America from contemporary classical choral works to the dance forms of Argentina.
Season Concert 2: A Celtic Christmas
- Date: Friday, December 6th @ 7:30pm
- Location: First Baptist Church
- Groups: HCC Symphonic Chorus & HCC Children’s Choral with Guest Artists SlipJig
About: HCCA presents a lively holiday program of Celtic music for the whole family! The evening’s special guest will be Huntsville’s own Slip Jig, famous for their high-energy jigs and reels.
Season Concert 3: King David
- Date: Saturday, April 26th @ 7:30pm
- Location: Trinity United Methodist Church
About: This three-part dramatic psalm, performed in English, narrates the biblical life of King David and includes his rise from shepherd boy to king of Israel, his victories in battle, moral fall, repentance and death.

About: The Chamber Chorale collaborates with Huntsville Chamber Music Guild with a performance with renowned organist, Ken Cowan.
Mozart Requiem
- Date: March 15th @ 7:30pm
- Location: Mark C. Smith Concert Hall, Von Braun Center
- Groups: Huntsville Community Chorus and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra
About: Two serious, rich and powerful Mozart pieces are separated by the humorous Haydn Symphony No. 93 in an evening of music that will move you. Guest vocalists and the Huntsville Community Chorus will accompany the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra for Mozart’s magnificent Requiem, a performance not to be missed.
Annual HCC Children’s and Youth Chorales Spring Concert

When In Rome
- Dates: May 30th-June 1st and June 5th-7th
- Location: Wesley Hall, Trinity UMC
About: The 2014 Annual Melodrama will be When in Rome. This musical, set in ancient Rome follows the adventures (and misadventures) of a trio of peasant thieves.
About The Huntsville Community Chorus
The Huntsville Community Chorus is made up of several groups:
- The Chorus – Adult Symphonic Chorus (auditioned)
- The Chamber Chorale – a premier chorale
- Huntsville Community Children’s Chorus – comprised of two ensembles: Children’s Chorale, and Youth Chorale
- Musical Theatre – all auditioned and open to the community, HCCA produces one large musical each year
