Want to help the Madison/Huntsville community and lend some furry friends a hand? The Madison Animal Rescue Foundation (MARF) is hosting a fundraiser called Pints for Paws this Saturday from 6-10 at the Blue Pants Brewery in Madison.
The Need

Proceeds go to paying vet bills acquired by MARF, who have costs upwards of $100,000 a year for vaccinations, heart worm treatment, spay/neutering and any other medical issues the animals taken in may have. MARF takes all dogs and cats from Madison City’s Animal Control, and has reduced the kill rate from 98% to close to 0%.
MARF has recently taken in several animals with serious issues, including Phoenix seen at right, that will need thousands of dollars in care. With some help from local animal lovers, they can provide medical and adoption services to dogs and cats in need.
A Night Out
Pints for Paws will have musical entertainment by Jonathan Laird, a raffle (grand prize is an iPad mini), and a silent auction, including items such as a Big Bang Theory gift set and tickets to the Huntsville Ballet Company’s production of Cinderella.
Your ticket includes:
- Raffle entry (additional raffle tickets are $5 at the event)
- Access to live music and the silent auction
- A BBQ Buffet and beverages
- Four different beer samples and a full pint of your choice
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Madison Petco on Saturdays from 11am-3pm, the Blue Pants Brewery tap room, or at the door the night of.
