Historic Huntsville Foundation is presenting “To Kill a Mockingbird” at sundown (8:30-45pm) in Big Spring Park, free for the whole community to enjoy. Historic Huntsville Foundation is organizing this event to support efforts to help animate downtown with fun, free, family-friendly entertainment. FREE Fun Day in the Park
@ Big Spring Park East, Saturday 7-10am
Thinking about exercising? Join Sole Sisters Huntsville and Huntsville Parks & Recreation for a menu of free physical activities for the entire family. Activities include a 1mile fun run/walk at 7 am, Krav Maga- Self defense classes, Zumba, Chicks With Kicks, CrossFit Class, and more. The Saturdays in the Park also includes Medical Mobile Unit, Health Department, Diabetes Association, LifeSouth, and healthy vendor booths. Children’s activities feature kid-friendly fitness, and moon bounce.
Come dressed to participate! Check out all the healthy vendors and enjoy a day of healthy food, fun, and fitness in the park.

FREE Art2 : Street Performances on Saturday
@ Downtown Huntsville, Saturday Noon-Midnight
Head downtown from noon – midnight on Saturday, August 10, to join The Arts Council as they offer free street performances, concerts and family-friendly entertainment! Performers are scheduled to appear around the downtown square and in Big Spring Park East throughout the day and include Step Heavy, The 911 Reporters, Huntsville Community Drumline, Cold Cold Sweats, Bourbon and Shamrocks, Mary Justice League, August and Dave, The Akoustic Juice Project, and others, with a full lineup to be announced on Wednesday, August 7. Arts Council Executive Director Allison Dillon-Jauken explained, “Based on reports from downtown businesses, more area residents and visitors are enjoying downtown Huntsville on Thursday and Friday evenings in the Quigley Arts & Entertainment District. At the same time, area musicians and performers have found new fans. We hope to see downtown foot traffic and liveliness continue to expand as we open the Quigley Arts & Entertainment District on Saturday, August 10 from noon to midnight.”

FREE The 4-Star Jazz Orchestra of the Army Materiel Command Band – Memories of World War II
@ Huntsville Museum of Art, Sunday 2:00pm
In conjunction with Memories of World War II, the Army Materiel Command Band will play in the Huntsville Museum of Art Great Hall.
