Latham UMC Farmers’ Market

Terry Heights Farmers Market
Dates: June through October
Day of the Week: Wednesday

What You’ll Find: Fresh, locally grown vegetables and fruit. Market is cash only.
Greene Street Market at Nativity

What You’ll Find: Fresh, locally-grown vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. Meet farmers with organically-raised beef, pork, chicken and eggs; pick up freshly-prepared meals, gourmet popcicles, traditionally-made relishes, cheeses, preserves and breads.

Madison City Farmers Market
Dates: April 13th to November 23rd
Day of the week: Saturdays

What You’ll Find: A wide selection of local veggies, fruits, cheese, eggs, meats, herbs, honey, jams, jellies, relishes, home-baked goods, plants and flowers. Also featured at the market are creations from local artisans including handmade cards, soaps, lotions, candles, wood crafts, sewn items and other handmade products. Everything sold is grown or crafted by local farmers and craftspeople.

Bailey Cove Farmers Market
Dates: June through September

The Madison County Farmer’s Market is one of the oldest institutions still in business. The market started out in the basement of the Madison County Courthouse as early as 1814.
What You’ll Find: Corn, okra, tomatoes, and squash are the biggest crops but, you’ll also find in abundance, fresh greens, beans, field peas and fresh fruits.

There is also a Farmer’s market at NASA bldg 4203 for those with access to Redstone Arsenal. It is on Tuesdays 11-3, I believe.
