The Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt

Something has waddled into downtown Huntsville, and I think you’re going to like it.

The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau has been hard at work to bring a new, year-round downtown Huntsville activity for visitors and residents alike. There are a dozen bronze ducks at various venues throughout the downtown area, and they’re hidden precisely for you to discover. Called the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt, it’s our hope that this activity will be another great reason for you and your family to explore downtown Huntsville. I know it will be great fun for all.

Get Started

Pick up a clue sheet at the Huntsville/Madison County Visitor Center® or visit our website to begin your quest. After you’ve found them all, come by the Visitor Center® and we’ll give you a pat on the back as well as a small (but awfully cute) prize for your achievement.

The first 300 scavenger hunters to find all 12 ducks will get the prize. Because we have a limited quantity of prizes, we’re asking scavenger hunters-extraordinaire who find all 12 Lucky Ducks to limit yourselves to one prize per person. They’ll go fast, so be sure to hurry.

While you’re picking up your Lucky Duck prize, be sure to ask for a complimentary All-Star Sports Pass. Our 2013 pass features buy-one get-one-free coupons to purchase tickets for the Rocket City United soccer team home games and the Dixie Derby Girls roller derby bouts. At the Visitor Center®, you’ll also find coupons to local attractions and plenty of information on all of the exciting things going on in Huntsville/Madison County.

Lucky Duck Days

In conjunction with the launch of the Lucky Duck Scavenger Hunt, a new “Lucky Duck” festival is coming to town. The First Annual Lucky Duck Days will take place May 11th and 12th at A.M. Booth’s Lumberyard.

The weekend will be packed full of family fun activities including a street fair with arts and crafts, children’s activities, great food and, of course, rubber duck racing to benefit the American Diabetes Association. I hope you’ll come be a part of this new festival with us!
