what is team rocket?

Team Rocket Tri Club is a non-profit organization that currently hosts 7 multi-sport events in north Alabama, adding the Tri For Old Glory off road triathlon and the Pesky Piranha Youth Triathlon to this year’s line-up. Our club’s mission is to promote a fit and healthy lifestyle, and at the same time, become an asset in our community through our involvement in fundraising for charity programs.

Join Team Rocket and swim, bike and run with the fun kids, all while making a huge difference in your own community! In 2012, we gave back over $30,000 to our selected race charities. Our members are ready to set new goals, new PR’s and new community donation records!

HOW DO I JOIN TEAM ROCKET?

We make super simple with online registration. How much does it cost? Though it is hard to put a price on membership of a club this cool, we have done so!

Memberships run January to December each year at the following rates:

Individuals: $30
Couples: $40
Families: $50

Can’t run a marathon? Can’t run a mile? Can’t run to the mailbox? Scared to put your head under water in a pool? Haven’t ridden a bicycle since you were 10? NO PROBLEM! With a 225 member Team Rocket Tri Club membership with monthly training and social opportunities and Fleet Feet Huntsville’s Triathlon Training Programs, everyone can tri!

Are you an avid swimmer, cyclist or runner? Maybe you should pair up with some of our club members and enter the relay division in a triathlon this year. We dare you. You’ll be hooked!

About the Author

Carrie Wilson is the Director of Marketing at Athletic Club Alabama. Interested in a tour, or maybe a corporate membership? She’s your girl! Other “titles” she holds include President of Team Rocket Tri Club, multiple marathoner, 50K Run Finisher and most recently Ironman and 50 Mile Run Finisher. Some know her as the Event Director for the Summer Sizzler Super Metric Century Bike Ride benefitting Family Services Center. Carrie represents Fleet Feet Sports on their Fleet Feet Tri Racing Team. In addition to swimming, biking and running, Carrie enjoys hiking, backpacking and kayaking and basically anything outdoors. As an outdoorsy chick, she visits Glacier National Park in northwest Montana every summer for extended backpacking trips.
