There are SO MANY things that the world should thank Huntsville for. Seriously.
We are awesome!
Let’s reflect on a mere FEW of the things we should be praised for.
6 Geektastic Things the World Should Thank Huntsville For
1. Wikipedia
Well, not Wikipedia so much as Jimmy Wales, it’s founder and a Huntsville native. Imagine a world without Wikipedia. We didn’t think so…
2. Space Program
You didn’t think we’d leave this off a geektastic list. By definition we are the Rocket City. You’re welcome world.
Also, it leads us to #3…
3. Showing the world what a space line looks like
What’s the sentiment…we don’t have a skyline, we have a space line? That’s what awesomeness looks like.
(thanks Geek Out Huntsville!)
4. Felicia Day
Arguably Huntsville’s most geektastic contribution, if you know who Felicia Day is then you KNOW!
If you don’t know who she is, well, we recommend some googling. She’s a Youtube star, gamer, actress, author and more.
5. Jet Vest
It was the 60’s, but we were going to fly!
6. Space Camp – The Movie!
A cult classic? Yep. And beloved among the children of the 80’s. It cemented the desire to go to Space Camp into the heart of every single child from that point on.
So there you have it. A small portion of the things the world should thank Huntsville for.
Hey world….
