Songwriters By the Fountain
@ Big Spring Park- Thrasher Fountain, Friday 6-9pm
This Friday, head downtown for a first-time FREE event! The Von Braun Center presents “Songwriters By the Fountain”, an outdoor songwriters showcase. Happening in Big Spring Park near the Thrasher Fountain, this event will feature stories and songs from four Nashville songwriters: Doug McDonald, Byron Hill, Wil Nance, and Jim Parker. Admission is free, although there will be limited seating so please bring chairs. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the VBC’s Bud Light Cafe. See you there!

The Monte Sano Arts Festival will continue to feature the regions finest artists in an array of wonderful media. Dairy Days
@ Burritt on the Mountain/ The Whimsical Woods, Saturday 10am-4pm
Always a favorite event, Dairy Day promises to be fun for the whole family – especially since it occurs in The Whimsical Woods this year. Come churn butter with Little Miss Muffet and try your hand at milking Boxy, our faux cow, with Jack or his mother at the beanstalk. You can also crank the ice cream churn with Aunt Polly or Tom Sawyer and learn about blacksmithing. This day of incredible blues include Angie Stone, Raheem DeVaughn, Dra’Karr & an Experience, and Joe!
