Oktoberfest is one of Redstone Arsenal’s largest events that is open to the public. Oktoberfest has rides, fun and activities for ALL ages, not to mention some of the finest German Beers and scrumptious German Cuisine. Opens at 5 pm Thurs. & Fri. and noon on Sat. & Sun. Admission is $12 – $15.

Historic Huntsville Foundation is delighted to offer a bonus movie for September! The movie will be in Big Spring Park behind the Museum of Art. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for a fun outing.

FREE Fall Hikes Series with the Land Trust of North Alabama
@ Monte Sano Mountain, Saturday, 10 am – 11 am
This is an easy hike with moderate incline; roots and rocks on trail. Goolge 599 Cleermont Drive for directions. Alabama A&M Biology & Environmental Science/Wildlife Program Assistant Andrew Cantrell lead the discovery of just who – or what – lives near Fagan Creek. From salamanders to other critters, you may be amazed at the wide variety of “herps” to be found.

DiscOasis – 70’s Dance Party Benefit
@ Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, Saturday, 6:30 – 8:30 pm
DiscOasis 70′s Dance Party is in the Flying Monkey Theatre on the second floor of Lowe Mill. This event is the third annual benefit for Asperger Syndrome S.E.A. Beyond Tomorrow. There will be a silent auction and light snacks available. Admission donation is $10 general, $5 for children under twelve.
