Not all sandwiches are created equal.
From simple and classic to creative and elaborate, here are four local spots that are sure to put your PB&J lunch to shame.
4 Huntsville Spots to Find the Perfect Sandwich
Mason Dixon
Anything but ordinary, the Gettin’ Figgy With It sandwich from Mason Dixon has pears, house-made fig jam and cambozola cheese on cranberry walnut bread. If that sounds too adventurous for you, try the avocado chicken salad which is a twist on the classic chicken salad sandwich.
Happy Tummy
There are so many delicious sandwiches at Happy Tummy, but we highly recommend the Spicy Bird. If you like food with a kick, this sandwich is for you. It has turkey, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion. We like to pair it with jalapeno chips for added spice.
Stanlieo’s
Not many people know this local Huntsville sub shop that has been around for nearly 50 years has an incredible vegetarian menu. You can find vegetarian versions of popular sandwiches like Reubens, corned beef, ham, steak, and turkey. And we can’t go without mentioning their most popular menu item, The Kitchen Sink, which is a meat lover’s dream!
Dallas Mill Deli
At Dallas Mill you can find your classic favourites like chicken, tuna, and egg salad sandwiches. Don’t forget to try their famous strawberry pretzel salad for dessert. We love their downtown location close to the Five Points Historic District.
