We can hardly believe summer is coming to an end (didn’t February last like 300 days?), but there is still time to check out some summer events before fall rolls around.
Here are four of our favorites:
Concerts in the Park
Concerts in the Park is a great event for the family. Bring a chair or blanket, grab a drink and food from a food truck, and you’ll be living your best life on the lawn of Big Spring Park while listening to live music. You can catch Concerts in the Park on July 30 and August 6 from 6:30 – 8 pm.
Battle of the Food Truck All Stars
Obviously, we are huge supporters of this event. Look for our favorite food trucks like Manic Organic, Beast Mode, Fire & Spice, Back Alley, and many more. This event will actually continue through September and October, but you can catch “the battle” August 4 from 10 am – 2 pm on the Northside Square for the Brunch Edition and August 17 from 5 – 9 pm on Church Street for dinner.
Movies in the Park
We LOVE this concept. Bring the family and some blankets, pack a picnic, and enjoy a movie in Big Spring Park East! You can catch Trolls August 10 and Ice Age Collision Course on August 24. Movies begin at sundown.
Friday Night Art Walk
Also happening August 10th is the Friday Night Art Walk. Walk around the Downtown Square and check out artisan goods from over 50 local vendors. You’ll find paper flowers, real flowers, handmade jewelry, art, pottery, and SO much more from the talented creators in Huntsville.
Have you checked out any of these events this summer?
