Huntsville made a big announcement this week – The City of Huntsville, Downtown Huntsville, Inc. and Zagster, Inc. are launching the Downtown Blue Bikes presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, starting in March 2017.

There will be 40 bikes at 8 stations placed strategically around Downtown Huntsville.
March is a few months out yet, but we still can’t help but daydream about all of the ways these bikes will be used in that “so Huntsville” way.
Here are our top 3 thoughts:
1. Ride the Downtown Huntsville Craft Beer Trail
With Zagster stations at Butler Green (next door to Yellowhammer and Straight to Ale Brands) and two Downtown, you can bike the Downtown Craft Beer Trail with ease.
2. Take a History Tour
The Downtown Huntsville self-guided digital tour just got a whole lot more interesting. Grab some friends, hop on the Blue Bikes, and create your own history tour!
3. Get Some Exercise
Need to switch up your workout routine? Rent a bike and log some miles. Reward yourself with a gelato from Sam & Greg’s. That’s a win!
We will find so many more ways to use these Downtown Blue Bikes when they finally hit the streets this spring. Til then…..we make plans.
