2. Presentation: Not Just Moving, but Living: An Exploration of Animation Principles with Vinny Argentina

Learn more about HMA’s “What’s Up, Doc?” exhibition. Vinny Argentina will explore the 12 Principles of Animation laid out by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in their book “The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation”.

4. Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike presented by Theatre Huntsville

Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play! Middle-aged siblings Vanya and Sonia share a home in Bucks County, PA, where they bicker and complain about the circumstances of their lives. Suddenly their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike.
5. Beaks & Barks at Huntsville Botanical Garden
Begins January 14
For the birding enthusiasts, you’ll be able to explore the Lewis Birding Traill. For the “Barks” part of Beaks & Barks, bring your favorite four-legged friend to the Garden to play in the “No Leash Zone.”

6. Drop-in & Create at Huntsville Museum of Art

Kids will be creating “Pop-art Pizzas!”, making a deliciously-themed collage using different shapes and colors.
7. Newcomers Dance Party

8. The Odes For You Tour at Lowe Mill A&E
January 18
A two-woman poetry performance of celebrated, internationally touring poets Shira Erlichman and Angel Nafis. Through interwoven poems, monologues, songs, and jokes, these poets engage each other and the audience in the vibrant and unstoppable song of celebration.
9. Wild & Scenic Film Festival Huntsville
January 20
Alabama Rivers Alliance, Energy Alabama and Flint River Conservation Association (FRCA) are excited to bring Wild & Scenic Film Festival to Huntsville for the fourth year! Experts from across the state will be on hand to help answer any questions and provide guidance on how you can get involved locally and throughout Alabama.
10. National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine

The Huntsville Chamber Music Guild brings the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine to Trinity United Methodist Church for a concert.

12. Folklife Workshop – Felting @ Burritt on the Mountain

15. Flute & Harp Impressions presented by Huntsville Symphony Orchestra

In this wide-ranging program featuring flutist Gergely Ittzés and two HSO Principal musicians, we enjoy lesser-known delights by Vivaldi and Debussy before concluding with an orchestral suite by Respighi, a clever, humorous depiction of birds in a neoclassical style.
16. Once the Musical presented by Broadway Theatre League

17. Arts Huntsville’s Art Tour of Homes

18. Hi-Fi Wedding Fest
