5. Junior League of Huntsville’s
American Girl Fashion Show
March 7 & 8
Shows are Friday, 11 am & 2 pm and Saturday, 2 pm.Tickets start at $45 and include meal.
6. FREE Community Kite Festival
March 7
Let’s go fly a kite in John Hunt Park, 11 am – 3 pm.
7. FREE LIT – Light + Innovation + Technology
March 7
A digital light show on the Downtown Huntsville square, 7 – 10 pm.
8. Great Cross Country Kids’ Race, Family Fun Day & 5K
March 14
Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater hosts, and event supports their programming ($30 entry fee). There will be a costume contest for racers and families, along with kids’ activities, door prizes and more, 7:30 am – noon.
9. Pi Day at Sci-Quest
March 14
Have a blast finding out about all the pi (e). Celebrate being a math geek, 9:30 am – 4 pm.
10. FREE Huntsville Symphony Orchestra
presents Opus Tadpole
March 14
Children have fun learning about musical instruments during Opus Tadpole, 10:15 am.
11. FREE St. Patrick’s Day Parade
March 14
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Huntsville at the 38th Annual Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 11:30 am – 1 pm.
12. FREE Von Braun Center 40th Anniversary
Public Open House
March 21 – 22
Celebrate 40 years of the VBC. Lots of food, fun and family activities.
13. The Robot Zoo at U. S. Space & Rocket Center
Opens March 28
A new exhibit featuring robot animals and hands-on activities. Runs through September 13.
14. FREE Drop-In and Create
March 28
Create FUNtastic Animal Characters inspired by the Encounters: Dori DeCamillis exhibition, 11 am – 1 pm at Huntsville Museum of Art.
15. Bunny Brunch & Egg Hunt
presented by EarlyWorks Society
March 28
Fun at EarlyWorks Museum, tickets are $12 and seatings are 9:30 am and 11 am.
