1. Scarecrow Breakfast & Festival @ Huntsville Botanical Gardens
September 9
Pancake breakfast followed by a visit with the scarecrows and a Hay Ride to the Sorghum Maze. Face painting, music, and games for the kids. Admission charged.
2. Redstone MWR Oktoberfest
September 14 – 17
Annual Craft Biergarten with fantastic local brews, carnival games, and rides, authentic German food, live music and more.
3. FREE Rocket Roll: An #ArtsEdWeek Celebration @ Butler Green
September 15
Arts Huntsville is celebrating our city’s artsy engineers and scientists! This FREE event features a performance by Foot Pound Force and STEAM interactive activities in conjunction with Downtown Huntsville Inc.’s Battle of the Food Trucks.
4. A Beach Boys Celebration presented by Huntsville Symphony Orchestra
September 15
Pet Sounds and Greatest Hits conducted by Gregory Vajda. Tickets start at $15.
5. FREE Monte Sano Art Festival
September 16 – 17
The Monte Sano Art Festival will feature more than 140 of the region’s finest artists along with local food trucks and musicians.
6. FREE International Festival of North Alabama (iFest) @ UAH Fitness Center
September 16
This one-day, family-friendly spectacular features global performances, food trucks, hands-on children’s games and crafts, an Open Air Market, table displays featuring cultural artifacts, travel/historic literature, handicrafts, native apparel, educational videos, and so much more.
7. Big Spring Crush: Downtown Wine Festival @ Big Spring Park
September 16
There will be over 150 wines from all over the world, plus live music and wine inspired cuisine. Tickets are $40 and there aren’t many left!
8. 18th Annual Moon Over Three Caves Dance @ Historic Three Caves
September 16
Dance under the stars to support land preservation. Tickets start at $70.
9. Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
September 23
Thrive Alabama’s Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre where Homicide High’s Class of 1992 reconnects and discovers who murdered one of their own…and why. At the close of act one you will be served your entree. Then between acts two and three, dessert is served. Following dessert, the killer will be revealed. Tickets are $40 for the matinee and $55 for dinner.
10. Vive le Livre @ Jackson Center
September 27
Vive is an end-of-the-year gala celebrating libraries, books, and literacy and is the primary fundraiser for the Huntsville Library Foundation. This year’s guest is Amor Towles, world-renowned author of A Gentleman in Moscow and Rules of Civility. Tickets start at $125.
11. Blues With a View @ Burritt on the Mountain
September 28
Toast marshmallows over the bluff side fires and make your own s’mores as the sun sets. S’mores supplies will be provided, with craft beer and wine available for purchase. This concert raises funds for Burritt’s education department. Admission is $25 in advance.
12. FREE 2nd Annual Great Outdoor Expo @ Ditto Landing
September 30
What better place to experience an outdoor expo than outdoors? Displays from – Hunting, Fishing, Camping, RVing, Boating, Cycling, Watersports, Outdoor Live, and more!
13. FREE Concerts on the Dock
