2. Hamacon
Dates: June 23 – 25
Cost: $50 for 3-day badge at door, single day tickets $20+
Hamacon is a three-day celebration of animation of the Japanese variety, including shows like Pokemon, Naruto, and Sailor Moon.
3. Dog Days of Summer @ Earlyworks
Dates: now – August 5
Cost: dmission $5 – $12
Join Biscuit, the EarlyWorks mascot, as he welcomes all his doggie playmates to the Museum.
4. Dinosaur UpROAR Alive @ Huntsville Botanical Garden
For a limited time, ferocious, magnificent creatures of the mighty Mesozoic era will be “unextinct”—brought “back to life” throughout the Garden.

5. Summer Concerts
From Concerts in the Park to Three Caves, there are many local concerts this summer and most are free!
6. Movies in the Park
Dates: June 23, July 12, 28, August 11, 25
Cost: Free
Come and watch a movie in Big Spring Park.
7. 3rd Alabama Women in Jazz Festival 2017
Date: August 5
Cost: $25 at the door, $20 online

8. Huntsville Restaurant Week
Dates: August 11 – 20
Huntsville Restaurant Week is an annual, 10-day celebration of the best in Huntsville/Madison County dining.
9. Scarecrow Trail @ Huntsville Botanical Garden
Date: opens September 1
Cost: $8 – $12
The community creates wonderful interpretations of Scarecrows that are displayed throughout the Garden in the fall.
10. Neighborhood Earth @ U.S. Space & Rocket Center
Dates: through September 4
Cost: $20 – $40
Neighborhood Earth transports visitors to the surface of our closest planetary neighbors with cutting-edge cinematic techniques and projection technologies.
11. The Red Clay Survey: 2017 Exhibition of Contemporary Southern Art @ Huntsville Museum of Art
Dates: July 9 – September 24
Cost: $5 – $10
The Red Clay Survey “takes the pulse” of contemporary Southern art through a selection of works in all styles and media determined by a juror with strong national credentials.
12. Miracle Bash & Swim for Melissa
Dates: August 4 – 5
An annual event whose proceeds benefit the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation for state-of-the-art equipment.
13. Treasure Hunt at Gold Mountain @ Burritt on the Mountain
Dates: through September 3
Cost: $8 – $10
Hunt for treasure at this exciting, interactive adventure.
