For the Love of Beer: Winter Warmer Week

Madison County’s craft beer breweries are getting a whole week all their own – full of good food, tap takeovers and the business of beer.

For the first time, Downtown Huntsville, Inc. has created Winter Warmer Week, January 19 – 24, 2015. With all 8 Madison County breweries participating and over 10 different downtown establishments, there’s something for everyone!

Winter Warmer Week Events

Events range from Beer Pairing dinners to tap takeovers. Here’s the rundown:

Monday

Rocket Republic Tap Takeoever at Commerce Kitchen, 5 – 9 pm
Blue Pants Beer Pairing Dinner at Below the Radar

Tuesday

Salty Nut Takeover at Church Street Wine Shoppe, 5 – 9 pm
Brew Stooges Beer Pairing Dinner at The Bottle
Old Black Bear Beer Tasting at The Office Break Room & Bar, 5 – 9 pm

Wednesday

Yellowhammer Trivia & Tap Takoever at Humphrey’s Bar & Grill, 5 – 9 pm
Salty Nut Tap Takeover at Amendment XXI, 5 – 9 pm

Thursday

Blue Pants Takeover at Sam & Greg’s, 5 – 9 pm
Salty Nut Tap Takeover at The Office Break Room & Bar, 5 – 9 pm

The Business of Local Craft Beer Forum, 6 pm, al.com building on Westside Square

Friday

Straight to Ale Beer Event at Cup of Everything (Hint: It will be the 1st ever Oktoberfest in January!)
Brew Stooges Beer and Soup Pairing Event at Shea’s Express

Saturday

Below the Radar Beer Tastings & Meet the Brewer at Below the Radar

Beer Forum

In addition to the fun and food, DHI and The Huntsville Times will host the first ever “Business of Craft Beer” panel discussion, with 8 craft beer panelists. This free event will focus on the economic impact of the craft beer industry in our area. There will be food and free samples.

Don’t be left out of the discussion about the business of beer in Madison County. And certainly don’t miss out on supporting our local brewers, restaurants and downtown locales with these events. It’s the best of Huntsville!
