For Huntsville shoppers who remember being a Toys “R” Us kid, there’s some nostalgic news coming to Bridge Street Town Centre: Toys “R” Us is making a return to Huntsville.
Toys “R” Us returns to Bridge Street
Toys “R” Us Express will open a new pop-up location at Bridge Street Town Centre, bringing the familiar toy retailer back to a shopping center it once called home.
Unlike the large Toys “R” Us stores many shoppers may remember, Toys “R” Us Express is a smaller-format concept. The upcoming Bridge Street shop will be located near the fountain on the corner across from Great American Cookie.
The brand currently offers everything from dolls and stuffed animals to building sets, vehicles, action figures, games, puzzles and other toys.
For longtime Huntsville residents, the announcement may feel especially familiar. Toys “R” Us previously operated at Bridge Street before closing in 2018 as the retailer shuttered its U.S. stores. The former large Toys “R” Us/Babies “R” Us space at Bridge Street was later redeveloped for Main Event.
