5. 11th Annual Caribbean Day in the Park @ Stoner Field Park

The Caribbean Association of North Alabama Inc (CANA) will host the largest North Alabama Family Fun Day to introduce the public to the Caribbean culture, cuisine and lifestyle in a family-friendly environment.

6. Jazz in the Park @ Big Spring Park

The City of Huntsville’s Office of Multicultural Affairs and Magic City Smooth Jazz will team up to present a free jazz concert series each Sunday in September at Big Springs Park from 6 – 9 pm.
7. Fido’s After 5 @ Huntsville Botanical Garden
September 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Four-legged friends are welcome in the Garden each Thursday evening, 5 pm – dusk. Garden membership or admission is required for humans. Dog admission is $1.00 each or get a season Paw Pass for $5; dogs must be on a leash.
8. Community Conversations: Anne Byrn @ Downtown Huntsville Library
September 9
Anne Byrn is the bestselling author of The Cake Mix Doctor. She will talk about her book, American Cake, at 2 pm. The ticket price of $25 per person includes a sample of two of the cakes featured in the book.
9. The Game’s Afoot (Or: Holmes for the Holidays) presented by Theatre Huntsville

The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays. Tickets start at $16.

11. MY HERO: Contemporary Art & Superhero Action @ Huntsville Museum of Art

My Hero presents a rich array of work by over 50 international artists, including painting, illustration, photography, sculpture, mixed media and video, that celebrates and re-envisions the lives of iconic superheroes. Included in museum admission.
12. Oktoberfest

Featuring more than 140 of the region’s finest artists in an array of wonderful media, local food trucks and musicians throughout the park. The art festival is free, but there is a $5 parking fee that goes to benefit the State Park.

A signature fundraiser for the Land Trust, this event features a silent auction with special rain barrels, dinner, dancing and fun. Tickets $70/member & $80/non-member.

20. Big Spring Crush: Downtown Wine Festival

Huntsville’s only wine festival, includes music, food and more. Tickets are $50.
21. Yoga with Live Music presented by the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra

Yoga instructor Casey Patterson, Gregory Vajda, and HSO musicians lead you in music and movement in Lowe Mill’s spacious and inviting North Floor Gallery. Grab your yoga mat and bring a friend. Tickets are $20.
