Taste of Home Huntsville

Are you a master chef? Do you want to be, but aren’t really sure where to start? Currently my two strategies to master chefdom involve creating some really awesome Pinterest recipe boards (most of which I would/could never actually attempt and yet continue to pin) and watching shows on The Food Network. You can guess how far this is getting my cooking skills.

If you’re looking for something a bit more real world, then I would suggest the upcoming Taste of Home Huntsville at the Von Braun Center.

A Taste of Huntsville

Whether you’re a beginner cook like me or a wiz in the kitchen, you’ll find something to like at the Taste of Home Cooking School and Expo.

First there’s the FREE expo where you can enjoy demonstrations, giveaways, Q & A from local cooking experts, and other related industries.  This is a great way to try out a product that you’ve been curious about before you buy it, sample a dip or cookie before you buy it.

And remember: it’s totally FREE! So grab your friends, and enjoy a lunch break, afternoon or happy hour (the VBC has a terrific bar) while learning about some of the latest and greatest cooking innovations!

For the Master Chefs

Looking to step up your game in the kitchen? Then you’ll want to attend the two special events at the Taste of Home Huntsville, the Cooking School and VIP Experience.

At the VIP Experience, you’ll be treated to appetizers prepared by local chef James Boyce, of Pane e Vino, Cotton Row and Commerce Kitchen. After a meet and greet with Chef Boyce, he’ll teach you how to make the dishes you just ate!

How cool is that? It’s not every day you get to chat up the chef, let alone learn how to cook from them! Plus it’s only $25! Purchase tickets through the VBC website.

Chef School

Then there’s the Taste of Home Cooking School. This is the place for you if you really want to take your cooking up a notch. You’ll get two full hours of tips and tricks from the pros, hosted by Michelle Roberts. This two hours includes show step-by-step instructions on how to create satisfying and flavorful dishes. Plus it’s only $10! Purchase your tickets through the VBC website.
