Summer has arrived! It’s warm outside, the days are long, and the options are endless. It’s the perfect time to plan an amazing adventure. A flight to somewhere new is exactly the type of trip that the whole family will love and will remember for the rest of their lives! Flying is one of our favorite activities and we have some suggestions for memorable destinations to make the most of your summer.
CALIFORNIA:
Huntsville International Airport has brand new flights to California on Breeze Airways starting in June! Breeze offers nonstop flights to LAX. Tickets can be found in the $200s roundtrip. If you’re looking for flights to San Francisco, San Diego, other part of California during the Summer we found flights via Jet Lag Hero in the $200s as well! With 12 different regions, California has so much to offer for pretty much everyone. With 840 miles of coast, it’s a great place to find a spot on a beach. Consider taking a whale watching tour or learning how to surf! California has 9 National Parks, more than any other state, each having its own incredible experience including Yosemite, Death Valley, and Joshua Tree National Park. If you’re a movie lover, hop on over to Hollywood to see the iconic Walk of Fame. From beaches and natural wonders to theme parks and Hollywood, there are endless possibilities in California.
FLORIDA:
Florida has been having some amazing summer sales from Huntsville International Airport recently! Orlando, Tampa, Daytona Beach, and Miami have all seen prices in the $100s during June and July. Florida is home to world-class theme parks including Disney, Universal Studios, Epcot, Busch Gardens and Lego Land; immerse yourself in your favorite universe from Harry Potter to Jurassic Park to Star Wars! Florida is home to a very diverse culinary scene making it a great stop for foodies. Looking for something more natural? Florida has amazing natural parks including the Everglades and Blue Spring State Park. And of course, you cannot talk about Florida without bringing up their 1,350-mile coastline with some of the most pristine beaches in the world!
NEW YORK:
New York is an incredible place to vacation. It has it ALL. New York is high on our list for this Summer due to the flights in the low $200s. Make sure to check out the City Pass for $138 ($118 for kids) and see 5 attractions including the Empire State Building, American Museum of Natural History, and 3 of the following: Top of the Rock Observation Deck, Ferry Access to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, Intrepid Museum, and Guggenheim Museum. New York City is home to some of the best, most diverse dining in the world. BAHAMAS:
Flights to the Bahamas during summer have been on sale recently in the $300s roundtrip so if you’re looking for an island in the sun, this would make an excellent getaway! COLORADO:
