Retail Sales Associate – U.S. Space and Rocket Center
Description
Part-time. $16.00 an hour. Paid time off. Free museum passes and discounts. The purpose of this position is to provide exceptional customer service, assisting with product inquiries, and driving sales in a retail environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them in finding products, and address their inquiries to enhance their shopping experience. Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash and credit transactions, and manage returns and exchanges.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of the store’s products, including features, benefits, and pricing, to effectively inform and assist customers.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and reporting low stock levels to management.
- Visual Merchandising: Help maintain the store’s visual presentation by organizing merchandise displays according to company guidelines and ensuring the store is clean and inviting.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive team environment.
