Places to Hide When It's Cold and Rainy OutsideFINALLY! It’s beginning to feel like winter in Huntsville. Which means it’s COLD and rainy.

To bide our time until warmer temps, we’ve put together a little list of places to stay warm (and dry)!

6 Places to Hide When It’s Cold and Rainy Outside

1. See a Movie

With reclining chairs and giant buckets of popcorn, seeing a movie is a local theater is a great way to stay cozy for a couple of hours.

2. Go to the Library

With 12 library locations in Huntsville, Madison and Madison County, there is one near you, ready for exploring.
Bonus: Take your newly checked out book directly home and spend the rest of the time in your Snuggie with hot cocoa and read away.

3. A Day at the Museum

Spend the day at Huntsville Museum of Art. Pretend to be a tourist and really take in the exhibits and shop in the gift shop.

4. Make Art

Whether you spend an afternoon painting at Spirited Art or Pinot’s Pallet, or taking an art class at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, making art keeps you warm and feeling creative at the SAME TIME!

5. Rent a Cabin and Build a Fire

Escape up to the top of Monte Sano mountain and spend the weekend by a roaring fire in a cozy cabin.
Bonus: Bring marshmallows and other smore’s fixin’s for a toasty treat. Good book optional, but recommended (see #2).

6. Check into a Hotel and Order Room Service

This is a pie-in-the-sky suggestion, but doesn’t it sound wonderful?! And there are many heated pools and room service options!

What can we add to the list?
