After checking in and snapping a few pictures in the sleigh, head to the pen for your scheduled Reindeer encounter. During this time, you will learn about the resident’s various attributes and personalities and have a chance to ask questions before visiting each reindeer. You can then spend time taking pictures and interacting with each one. These majestic animals are a sight to behold, and they seem happy to have friendly visitors and pose for family pictures.
Festive Activities
In addition to the reindeer encounters, The Reindeer Farm offers a range of activities for everyone in the family to enjoy. Some of the things you can enjoy during your visit are the Snowball Dodge Ball Experience, the Petting Farm, holiday-themed Corn Hole, Christmas Tree Ring Toss, and writing letters to Santa. The farm also offers an onsite food truck and wine tasting (check schedule for availability). We loved grabbing a quick bite and sampling festive wines, like the Cranberry Cheer from Carriage House Vineyard. Also, Santa and Mrs. Claus make their way around the farm, so remember your camera.

After spending a day at the farm, we highly recommend stopping by Chaney’s Dairy Barn, located nearby. This charming restaurant boasts a vast selection of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. However, the star of Chaney’s is their homemade ice cream, which is produced using milk and cream from their resident cows. With a wide range of flavors to choose from, you’ll definitely find something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Apart from the food, Chaney’s also offers a self-guided farm tour where you get to learn more about the farm and its cows, and the playground is a must-do if traveling with kids.
