Huntsville Law Firm Is Closing Down Holmes Avenue for a Free World Cup Watch Party — With Tickets Up for Grabs

By Katelyn Henderson

Friday, June 12 | 125 Holmes Avenue | Free & Open to the Public

The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ is officially here, and Huntsville is getting in on the action in a big way.

Timberlake, League & Brooks, a downtown Huntsville personal injury law firm, is throwing a free, block-party-style watch party for the U.S. Men’s National Team’s opening match — USA vs. Paraguay — right outside their office at 125 Holmes Avenue on Friday, June 12. The street will be fully closed to traffic, a large outdoor screen will be set up, and the whole community is invited to come out and cheer on the Red, White & Blue together.

Doors open at 6 p.m. CT for a pre-game warm-up, with kickoff at 8 p.m. CT.

And Yes — They’re Giving Away World Cup Tickets

If free admission and a big screen in downtown Huntsville wasn’t enough, TLB is also hosting giveaways throughout the evening. Prizes include:

  • Two (2) 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tickets to the Spain vs. Saudi Arabia match on June 21 in Atlanta
  • Official 2026 FIFA World Cup™ soccer balls
  • Team jerseys
  • A LEGO® Editions FIFA World Cup™ Official Trophy building set
  • And more

What to Know Before You Go

This one is simple: show up, bring something to sit on, and get loud.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. The event is completely free, open to everyone, and set right in the heart of downtown Huntsville.

“The 2026 FIFA World Cup™ is a historic moment for our country and for the sport of soccer in America. It reflects the contributions of generations of players, fans, immigrants, coaches, and communities who helped build the game we celebrate today,” said Will League. “Huntsville deserves to share in that moment. As a small way of giving back to a community that has supported us for years, we’re inviting everyone to join us for a free public watch party. Bring your family, wear your colors, and let’s cheer on the USA together.”
