New Music Festival in Huntsville September 2024
Prepare yourselves, Huntsville! A thrilling new music festival is on the horizon, set to sweep through the Southeast and make its mark in Huntsville this September.
Ted Heinig, Festival Director for C3 Presents, electrified a crowd of eager attendees at the March 19 HSV Quarterly Music Meetup, as he unveiled the exciting news: C3 Presents will orchestrate a grand two-day music festival at John Hunt Park later this year.
Representatives from C3 Presents have officially disclosed plans for a dynamic two-day event, promising a diverse musical experience spanning multiple genres. While specifics such as the event’s name, lineup, and ticketing details are set to be unveiled in April, anticipation is already on the rise.
Mayor Tommy Battle expressed enthusiasm, hailing the forthcoming festival as a boon for both Huntsville and the wider region. “Collaborating with a world-class festival producer to bring such an event to our esteemed John Hunt Park is a testament to Huntsville’s status as a premier destination. We eagerly await the unveiling of the lineup.”
Beyond the thrill of live music, the new festival promises to elevate the quality of life for Huntsville residents and inject a fresh revenue stream into local retail and hospitality sectors, benefitting businesses both within the city and beyond its borders.
Matt Mandrella, Huntsville’s Music Officer, shared his excitement at the prospect of hosting renowned artists representing a spectrum of musical genres, a hallmark of festivals produced by C3 Presents. He believes that this musical diversity aligns perfectly with Huntsville’s vision of establishing itself as a premier music destination.
“C3’s success in establishing festivals like Austin City Limits Music Festival and the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival speaks for itself,” Mandrella said. “This event is going to take our music city aspirations to the next level and continue establishing Huntsville as a destination for live music fans.”
As one of the world’s leading producers of music festivals, C3 Presents will spearhead all aspects of the event’s production, from talent acquisition to logistical coordination, vendor management, and volunteer coordination. Festival Director Ted Heinig expressed his anticipation for a fruitful collaboration with the Rocket City.
“Never before have we been recruited by a city to establish a festival,” he said. “We are excited about coming to Huntsville and bringing the music with us.”
