Family Fun

These events are geared towards kids and family. Your little pumpkins love an excuse to wear a costume!

Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll

  • Date and Time: October 21, 1:30 – 4:30 pm
  • Location: Maple Hill Cemetery
  • Cost: Free

History comes alive with over 75 costumed characters representing some of the famous residents of Maple Hill Cemetery. Presented by the Huntsville Pilgrimage Association.

Doctor Osborn’s Magical Laboratory Comedy Magic Show – done

  • Date and Time: October 26 – 28
  • Location: Fantasy Playhouse
  • Cost: $8
  • Event Information

Doctor Osborn will bring his annual bag of Halloween tricks and treats back to Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theatre. Costumes are encouraged.

The Great Pumpkin Carve

  • Date and Time: Saturday, October 27, 5 – 8 pm
  • Location: Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment
  • Cost: $5 to carve or smash

Lowe Mill A&E’s Pumpkin Carving Contest features 6 different carving categories.

EarlyWorks Halloween Bash

  • Date and Time: Friday, October 26, 5 – 8 pm
  • Location: EarlyWorks Alabama Constitution Village
  • Cost: $5/child, $3/adults

Calling all witches, monsters, and ghosts, The EarlyWorks Children’s Museum will be your host.

Magical Masquerade Ball

  • Date and Time: Saturday, October 27, 8 pm-midnight
  • Location: Huntsville Madison County Public Library Main
  • Cost: $10 in advance; $15 at the door

An annual night of Magic for Huntsville teens! There are no parents allowed, but security will be provided by Huntsville Police Department.

Bootanica

  • Cost: $5 members and $5 plus admission for non-members

Scarecrow Trail Night Hikes

Spooky Space Spectacular

  • Location: U.S. Space and Rocket Center
  • Cost: $20 for a family of up to five or $5 per person

Huntsville SCREAM Works

Help unravel the cause of unexplained phenomena at Lowe Mill in an interactive paranormal investigation. You’ll be recruited into a Huntsville SCREAM Works ghost-hunting division to research the facility’s history, interview witnesses, search for evidence, and even try to communicate with a mysterious presence as your team works together to determine the cause of a harrowing haunting.

Land Trust Guided Hike Series: Halloween Hike-a-Hound with the Humane Society
