There’s something new cooking in Downtown Huntsville, and pizza lovers have another reason to visit.
Dough Dough Pizza Co. is the newest concept from the Mercado Group, the team behind several popular Huntsville restaurants, including The Standard Social Market, Del Chuco Cantina & Cocina, The Local, Chuco Underground, and Jefferson Alley.
The restaurant brings a fresh dining option to the historic Huntsville Times Building, which celebrated its 100th anniversary earlier this year.
Dough Dough Pizza Co. will offer a menu featuring pizza, sandoughs, salads, and more. Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch, a quick bite, or somewhere new to try downtown, the restaurant is adding another option to Huntsville’s growing food scene.
Soft Opening and Grand Opening Details
Before the official grand opening, Dough Dough Pizza Co. is giving Huntsville an opportunity to get an early taste of its menu.
The restaurant’s soft opening runs October 16–21, with hours from 11 AM to 8 PM. It will be closed Sunday, October 18.
The official grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, beginning at 11 AM.
A New Chapter for the Huntsville Times Building
The opening is another exciting addition to the historic Huntsville Times Building.
Originally opened in 1925, the downtown landmark celebrated its centennial in 2025 and continues to evolve as new businesses bring fresh energy to the space.
Dough Dough Pizza Co. was first announced during the building’s 100th anniversary celebration, alongside plans for another restaurant concept, Elysium, which will focus on Greek cuisine.
With new restaurants joining the property, the building continues to find new ways to connect Huntsville’s history with its growing downtown dining scene.
