A playground for OHV (off-highway vehicles) enthusiast, Stony Lonesome is the first public OHV park of its kind in the state. Open year-round, the 1,456+ acre park features trails for practically any vehicle:

If you own any of the above mentioned OHV’s then you have to take the trip to Stony Lonesome. My husband and I have been with and without our kids and have enjoyed every trip! We take our Polaris RZR side by sides and Can-am Outlander ATVs. Our girls, ages 6 and 4, love riding in the side by sides! We are fortunate enough to have two, so everyone can ride.
The Park
The trails are all clearly marked, teling you which vehicles can take what routes and the difficulty level of the routes. There are picnic tables set up in clearing along the main route through the park. We frequently pack snacks and even lunch so that we can take a break without packing everything up and leaving. They also have cabins for rent on property if you want the adventure to continue the next day! The park office has drinks, bathrooms and even WIFI! All of the consent forms are available online so that you can have them ready when you arrive.
